Having roots back to 1978, Diesel Fuel Systems was previously the fuel shop business within Cummins Northeast. When Cummins closed their shop in Bangor, the group rallied along with owner, Ross Bradford and created DFS in 1995. Pete Hikel and Reggie Lacadie, ADS Certified Master Technicians, work on pumps and injectors, while Corey Staples is the on-vehicle Performance Specialist. Factory trained for Bosch, Standadyne, Cummins, Nippondenso, Lucas and Zexel equipment, the staff is also certified for mid-range and heavy-duty Cummins, Detroit Series 60s, Cat 3406s and GM 6.2 and 6.5 liter engines.
Diesel Fuel Systems has the latest electronic diagnostic tools and equipment for the new as well as tools for the oldest equipment that will start or needs to be run. If its diesel, they probably have some experience with it!
As a result of the fuel system business, turbo chargers have become an integral part of their business. Factory direct new and remanufactured turbos are available. Because fuel performance is dependent on the turbo, upgrades can be done on older equipment that will improve it, in most cases for less than exchanging existing equipment.
